Default D1 Lower Shock nut won’t catch

I’m installing a new terra firma lift on my D1 and when installing the shock with all the rubber bushings provided it does not leave enough thread protruding below for the nut to catch on.
Any tips or tricks?

Do you have the rubber bushings sitting properly? Round part sits toward washer, and the flat side with the lip on the inner part sits down on the mount.

Yes, I triple checked this again tonight to be sure. I have now dropped the truck off the stands to try to get the weight to compress and still not quite enough there’s to start on.

So after much trying of different options I ended up thinning the bushing up about 1 cm and that was enough to make the difference.

I don't know why I am also facing the same problem. I hope I find my answer soon but before that I want to complete my assignment by taking help from https://www.topessaywriting.org/samples/career-goals here and when I am done, I will find solution online.
