Daytime running lights
Hi gang,
I'm just getting my '05 LR3 SE up and running in Canada here and I was just quoted $450 to get my DRL's up and running. Do you guys think this is a reasonable price ? Any way I could do this myself ? Are their manual's for the LR3 that one can buy that has this type of info ?
Thanks !!

I believe a dealer can plug into your ECU and turn on the day time running lights, I know thay can turn them on and off on the D2's and older vehicle, no reason they can't on yours.
So are they just plugging my truck into the ECU and flicking a switch and charging me $450 ? If not me, is there any danger in getting just a regular mechanic to do this ? (sorry if thats a dumb question)
It takes either a dealers Test Book or a after market scanner like a Auto logic to access your ECU. As I mentioned before, that is what is necessary on most Rovers, I am thinking it will be the same with you.
I would call the dealers service manager and ask him specifically what must be done.
