Default Defender td5 problem HELP!!

Could someone help me with a throttle/rmp problem. WhenI release the throttle the rpm continues to rev high for a few seconds and then eventually decreases. Already switched pedal, air flow censor, cleaned out valve on intake manafold. Still the same problem. Any suggestions??

Have you inspected and cleaned the throttle cable, could be gummed up.
