Disco 1 cut off while driving

Disco 1 cut off while driving
I need some help, My '97 disco 1 XD just cut off while i was driving on the road yesterday. When I tried to start it back up, it would turn over but it wouldnt go beyond that. It almost sounds like its not getting gas into the engine. I finally got it back running by revving it up while starting it up. It'll keep running as long as I am giving it gas but as soon as i slow down, it cuts out. Does this sound like a bad fuel pump?
