Default vibrating disco

Check if any wheel balancing weights are missing. They are the little lead weights either clipped to the edge of the rim or stuck to the inside. If one comes off your wheel will be out of balance and cause a vibration. Alternatively check the driveshaft, it has a counterbalance weight as well and if its missing, you get the same type vibration.

Thanks for the info geoffthepoolguy I was under the vehicle this morning and checked for wieghts on wheels but didn't check the shaft. I had a shade tree mechanic drive with me and he said it sounded like the torque converter. I nearly fainted. I really don't trust his judgement. My fear is he might be right. I'm hoping it's shaft or out put flange.
