Hi All, I have an issue where the car stalls from cold start or at junctions. It also idles very irregularly.

Other issues are a loss of power when cruising on the motorway as if my foot is off the throttle and then back on the throttle when cruising at a constant speed. No lights or warning or faults found by the main dealer as its intermittent

 

i have never heard of a "disco 5"

 

Could be a lean code 2187/2189 just had this issue there's an issue with a $45 dollar part try this dealer will charge you about $550.00

 

so my car has been the LR main dealer today and after the initial diagnosis of an Oil Sensor Solenoid fault 4 weeks ago it has quickly escalated with todays diagnosis that the engine needs replacing and one of the cylinders is not firing properly

the car has done less than 40k miles and is 4 years old not a happy bunny as i am out of warranty period.
