97 fan switch only working on speeds one and two, and after taking one out of a donor truck I was wondering just how much time it would take to install it and if my dashboard would survive. I have reworked my existing switch before and know what is involved to get it out.


Since switch sometimes worked if jiggled, I decided to remove the glove box, and million dollar cardboard below it. This exposed the fan resistor plug. it has four wires. I swapped the green and Purple/blue, after looking circuit up in the RAVE.

Now I have speeds on position 1 and 2, but 2 is at the level formerly associated with three. Heat works much better. I'll put the donor switch in another day.
