Default Pressure Testing Coolant System - Work Around

I've read somewhere on here that there is a way to pressure test your coolant system throught the Intake Manifold coolant line.

I rented the pressure tester from Auto Zone and of course it does not have the adaptor for the our Res. Tank. So in the interest of time I am thinking of pulling the line that runs to the intake and plugging the mainfold side with plug and pressurizing the system through the small line running into the side of the res. tank.

Any thoughs?

I would think that this would work okay, do you have a pressure regulator for the air pressure? You may need one to prevent blowing anything out! If it works let us know.

18 psi for 15 minutes seems to be the bench mark.

Go to a radiator shop and have them do it the correct way so you don't get an inaccurate reading and or break one of those lines.
