I amlooking into buying a 2000 disco II with 73,000 on it. I test drove it and checked everything out on it i could from reading posts on this website and couldnt find anything wrong with it. The lot owner said i can take it to a mechanic before purchase to get it checked. Does anyone know of a good LR Mechanic in the Inland Empire(riverside) or North county San Diego? I need to set this up before i get this beast. I dont want to take it to the dealer and get raped to have it looked at. Thanks

You might want to post this question on the SCLR web site. That club covers the area your are asking about and as a old member of theirs, I know that if you ask them you will get some good referals.

I know you are up in riverside but down in S.D there is a land rover guy from the U.K he has helped me out many times,cheap parts good service and lots of free advice. The shop is on Hancock street behind sports arena.hope this helps.

 

Try taking it to 5points in Colton see Tony,he is putting new head gaskets on my Discovery
