Hey Lightning thanks for the off road pointers. im guessing that a "Wader" kit will solve the problem of water getting into my axles etc.

Regards the dimensions of my Disco, can anyone provide me with the official width of a standard 94 Tdi?

Lastly, anyone got any ideas why my battery light comes on when im driving through shallow puddles(10cms) at 30mph. Am i at risk of my
engine cutting out or doing ANY damage what so ever?

Wader kit will solve some problems, but you can still get water into the axles/ gearbox transferbox, just one of those things. The wader kit will stop them from been flushed out of oil within 2 seconds of hitting the water though..
