Default Disco2 starts without turning the key

Hi guys just got told from the garage that my disco 2 v8 is starting when you put the key in but you don’t have to turn the key, they say it could be water ingress to something electrical any clue as to what would do this? Thanks ross

I can't say I've heard of this before, but I would think it's something in the ignition switch/tumbler. They do wear out, water getting in unlikely.

Most of us can't get them to start...while turning the key. And you have one that starts without.

Well, that's just not fair in my book...lol.

Brian.

Found out it’s the body control module staying live to the starter there’s no gear recognition on the dash and the windows won’t work thanks ross
