I have just burnt out my third alternator in 6 months. Has anyone any experience with this problem and what can be done to fix it. I heard from somewhere that if the ECU is regulating the voltage output from the Alternator to high then this could cause the Alternators to burn out? If someone can validate this for me that would be great.
