Default Discovery almost not picking up speed

Something weird happened upon entering the freeway today. It felt as if my disco 97 wasnt picking up speed and instead felt as if it is about to lose power! It's a bit uphill but I never had that problem before! Almost felt like pulling over but all of a sudden, everything was fine again! Could it be a dirty fuel injection or bad spark plugs? Pls advise.

ps
The truck is due for an oil change and needs new air filter as well! Could these be the cause as well?
Thanks in advance

yes. get an oil change and an air filter.. a lack of air could easily cost you power... also what type of fuel are you using? what octane? when was the last time you did some maintenance like a seafoam treatment?

I am using the highest grade since I learned my lesson using lower octane which caused me to replace my fuel pump awhile back! Anyway, I am not even familiar with a seafoam treatment but I will google it and definitely follow all the advses you gave and will do those this weekend! I love my Disco and I don't want anything bad to happen to it! ( which will cost me an arm and a leg )! Thanks again!

go buy two cans of seafoam and a can of carb cleaner. dump one can of seafoam in the gas tank, then follow the directions on the forum for a throttle body cleaning and an induction cleaning.
