Default Discovery SE 2003 Differential

The bearings on front differential are shot. Is it possible to make this car a rear wheel drive only by removing front axles and driveshaft? I am unsure if re-building front differential is worth it. Any input is appreciated.

If you have installed a CDL transfer case than yes you could.

I would however contact Paul Grant and just pick up a used diff to swap in.

The 2003 D2 typically didn't come with the locking central differential in the US. A replacement crown assembly for the front diff is about $80 shipped.

Thanks for the feedback. It's a low mileage car. I have not put much into it in the 14 years. replacing the differential and some bearings seems to be the way to go. Thanks
