Default Discovery Starting/Running Problem

I have 1995 Discovery. I have an upgraded ignition system that I bought from rovertym.com hoping it would fix my starting problem. The rover cranks but doesn't turn over for about 10 seconds and I have to sometimes pump the throttle. I recently adjusted the timing to spec and now the engine cuts out in the low rpm range. I have read that the starting problem could be due to a fuel temp sensor or coolant temp sensor so I have those on order but as far as the engine cutting out what should I look for? Anything can help. Thanks.

I would say it5's fuel pump;. When did you last change your fuel filter?
In the morning when it is cold, have you checked the fuel pressure at the rail, might want to. It is possible that your fuel pump is bleeding of all the gas in the rail back into the tank.
You might want to try priming the fuel system on your next cold start, turn the key to the second position 3 or 4 times then try to startr the engine. If that works, it is time for a pump.
