Like the title says...does your local Land Rover dealer charge you when you bring your truck in to have the codes read/checked. Not an actual physical service, just a hookup to the computer.
I just bought my first Rover (2004 SE7 Disco) and I need to know what codes are causing the 3 Amigos to stop by unannounced every so often. I put my OBDII scanner on it and got P1415 and P0441. Its my understanding that you need a T4? or an AutoLogic? system to read some other set of codes that will tell you what is causing the Amigos visits. Are the OBD codes what I need to know? Or is this a dealer only code read? If it is, are they going to charge me for it and if so, how much?

Default RE: Does your L.R. dealer charge for a code read?

Depends on the dealer. If you have them read and cleared they may charge you a bit. Some with just run the codes and tell u what needs to be done, with no charge. If you need to have them read by LR, which some codes do, go into it expecting to pay a SMALL fee. I dont want to give you an exact number, because every place is different. Some may charge nothing.
