Default drive shaft

My 99 disco vibrates at 80mph, when I let the gas pedal go it goes away right away. In other words, I can play with gas pedal to make the viberation happen and go away.

People told me that drive shaft could it off balance or u joint is bad.

Anybody had issue like that? Any body experienced off balance or bad drive shaft? How do you resolve the problem? Or could it be bad u joint?

Previous owner drove like that for last 80000 miles. Dealer tech could not find the cause of the problem.

Default RE: drive shaft

tire balance, drive shaft balance, u-joint, could be any of these. start with tires, then try u-joints. 80 mph youo should expect a little vibe in a disco.
