Drivers Seat memory module problem
HI Gang,
Just recently purchased my first Rover, 2008 Sport Supercharged. 128,000 miles; I love this machine...great ride and feel! Has been garage kept so the entire Rover looks almost new... Question when I bought it the owner had said the drivers seat just stopped working in the past couple of months. He moved the position all the way to the back heard a couple of click, clicks and it stopped working. I bought it "as is" with that being the only thing wrong with it. I took it to a garage in Pensacola that works on Rovers and had them to the inspection routine. Said it was in really good shape...they hooked up the computer to it and said there were 30 codes or more which didn't make sense. They cleared all of those and the one that is showing up is the drivers seat memory module. *My drivers seat, auto steering position and mirrors control are the things that don't work. I guess they are all related to the same thing?? The garage said I would need to take to a Rover dealer to get the part put on (ifs its a part and not a wire etc.,) and that the dealer was the only one that can code the module if I need one. Please advise on this if possible. Sorry for the long intro!
