Default electrical Problem

Hi there all,

i have a 1994 HondaCrossroad /land rover disco v8i, my daughter closed the front passenger’s door the other day and the motor stopped?
I also ran over a pothole two weeks ago and the motor felt like it dropped down to 4 cylinders and icould smell the fuel after a few seconds, so i turned it off and then startedit again and it ran ok.

Last night it started farting around and dyed on me andafter waiting around fifteen minutes it fired up. Any thoughts on what might be the matter, Ithink it’s electrical but where to start, thanks in advance for any leads.

There is an inertia switch (cuts off fuel in a crash) mounted on firewall under hood, could be crazy sensitive. Looks like the black one in picture, may be another color. Press down in the soft spot on top to reset.

Loss of spark could be the ignition amplifier, near the coil and distributor.

Check the cable to the fuel pump. I just found that mine loses power to the fuel pump if I wiggle it.
