Yesterday, while hiking Temescal Canyon near Malibu, I found a Range Rover key on the trail. I imagine the owner would really like to get it back. On the key fob it says, Land Rover Encino and has the # for Roadside Assistance. No other identifying marks.
I called Roadside assistance, which after 15 minutes on hold answered. I asked if anyone in the area had called for roadside assistance, that I had found somebody's key. The response was, "We don't do that," and, "Can't help you," and a suggestion to, "Call the police." I don't see how finding a lost key is a police matter. Very unsatisfactory first impression of Land Rover Roadside Assistance.
Take the fob to a local Land Rover dealer. They can get the owner's details from off of the fob.
IMHO... I'd have the dealer call the owner in case something crazy happened with the Range Rover. Yep... I watch too much Investigation Discovery (ID) tv programs.. lol
