Hi everyone. Just joined as I'm considering my first Land Rover, a 2005 LR3 (I've lurked for a bit as my interest in LRs has developed). Before I pull the trigger, I was hoping for feedback on whether the state of the frame, rust-wise, is a concern. It looks like just surface rust to me, but my eye is extremely untrained. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Yeah, check out LRTime's latest video on the complete frame restoration of their LR3. They had quite a bit more surface rust than it looks like yours has - and everything was still completely solid, except for a few square inches of, I think, the fuel tank protection plate.
These frames are super robust, made to resist flex at extreme articulation.
