Bought a 97 disco from a guy and it didn’t start it’s been sitting for about 3 yrs but he said it was running before he let it site well I’m thinking it’s the fuel pump? Or relay? Or filter I’m kinda stumped about it what do think I should check first?

After three years it COULD be a lot of things. The first thing to check is if you are getting power to the pump when the key is in position II.

Do you have a multi meter?

Grab the workshop manual from the link in my sig and give it a look. This video will also help you understand what may be involved.

Finally, post in the "D1" section and you'll get more eyeballs on your posts and put the year and model of your truck in your signature so that everyone knows what 'version' of Land Rover you are working on.

Welcome aboard!
