Default Fuel Pump Issue?

Hello everyone, I recently purchased an ‘01 Disco II, and this morning she wouldn’t start. When I bought it, the PO mentioned he had a problem once with the relay for the fuel pump. I suspect this is probably the issue, as she will crank, and spark, but no fuel is getting to the engine. Has anyone dealt with this issue before? I’m not sure if it’s the relay alone or perhaps it could be an issue with the pump?

Hey Dylan. It sounds like you are on the right track. There should be a schrader valve on the passenger side fuel rail where you can test your fuel pressure. It should be in the mid-30's.

Grab an assistant and see if you have power at the fuel pump (use a multi meter) when the key is switched to pos II.

You can find all the workshop and electrical manuals in the link in my signature. It helps if you identify your truck in yours.

Finally, since you have a DII, the best place to get the most eyeballs on your post will be in the D2 section of this forum.
