Default Fuel to Engine Issue

Okay, I spoke to soon stating I had fixed my problem that is outlined in this thread. (https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...g-issue-59854/)

I got in the vehicle this morning and it fired right up. I made it to my destination and when I went to leave the truck started and then choked down. Upon inspection I noticed that a hose had slipped off the newly installed fuel pump. I proceeded to clamp the hose and reinstall the fuel pump. Now after the car sits for 30 minutes or so it has a hard start issue. It cranks during the first turn but will not actually start until the second or third turn of the key. Is it possibly a defective fuel pump or is there another issue?

I have looked into the Rave manual regarding the fuel system and cannot locate a check valve in the line. I do know pressure is being maintained at the fuel pump because I have since disconnected the fuel line and when I did it "shot" fuel out.

Thanks in advance for any insight you are able to provide.

If you are running on the original pump in this weather, there is a good chance it is a failing CPS.

I changed the Crankshaft Position Sensor last week hoping to fix the issue. It starts really well when warm, only hard starts when cold. I find it really odd that after I installed the new pump the problem was solved, but a day later it has reoccured..

As I always post in these threads, swap your fuel pump relay with the washer relay next to it and see if it helps.
