Getting only a P0174 reading

ricchief556,
yeah, it helped with not hitting the brake pedal. i was driving all through it that friday night when the blizzard hit. my ses light hasn't come back on, so i'm pretending that it magically fixed itself. on the other hand, i get the three amigos every time i hit the brake pedal.

the code is mostly from an air leak between the intake and the exhaust. A smoke test might reveal the answer but if no visible leaks seen then perhaps the intake is warped and sucking oil up as well. Time for an intake or headgasket job if its leaking coolant. Recommend a new pcv separator as well.

They are all O2 sensor codes, Too Lean Fault Bank B, Cycle Fault *Codes* B U, and the p1174 is another O2 code that the engine cant compensate for the lean running on bank B. It sounds like your exhaust leak is so bad that the 02 sensors on the passengar side think the engine is running lean (when its not). SO lean that the engine can't compensate but is trying and that is why your MPG sucks.

So I dropped the truck off at my mechanic to do a pressure test on the coolant leak...test came out negative, ran her for an hour and a half and still nothing. He said they found no leak. He told me that it was most likely my o2 sensors. Bought all four from ABritish. Any tips for installation? Where are they located? Thx.
