Default getting slightly aggravated

I have a96 land rover discovery it stalled on me a coupe Weeks ago. I got it started again but it acted like it wanted to stall again. First thought was the fuel pump, after checking it out I decided it want the problem. An old mechanic came by and checked things out and figured it was the mass air flow sensor so we replaced it now it does not start at all. I have fuel and spark what am I missing?

Fuel would be 32-34 PSI on the fuel rail. MAF was an expensive part to swap. New or used? Plugged in firmly? Codes?

We went through massairflow.com. It was only $114. I haven't checked the actual psi at the fuel rail and now I can't get it anywhere to get the codes.
