Default Head Gasket Question on RR

I've heard several people mention smoke coming from the exhaust when a head gasket is faulty. Does it continue to smoke or only at startup?

If you have a failed/failing head gasket, you're going to be sucking one of two things into the combustion chamber that don't belong there: oil, or coolant.

Oil will give you smoke; coolant will give you steam.

Generally, yes, once you have a failure, it will be constant.

It can sometimes only be after a cold start up or all the time.
If it is white and smells sweet, it is a head gasket, if it is blue it is oil, black is excess fuel.
