Exclamation Help, 200 RR says Alarm Triggered...

So the other day I took apart the dash in my 2000 Range Rover to see why my headlight switch and my hazard light switch was not functioning...i click them and turn them but none of the exterior lights come on. Anyways that's not the main problem, after I did this the truck would not start nor give me the key back out of the ignition. I looked down at instrument panel and it said "Alarm Triggered" "Ignition Tamper"

My question is, Does anyone know of a way to reset the security system with out taking it to the dealership so I can get this damn thing finally running again?

Thanks Guys!

Take it to the dealership so you can get it running again...sorry! You may have locked up the security system by tripping something in the dash. The only way to unlock it is for the dealer to do this ( after they find out what you did to make things lock up ). The alarm system is state of the art and designed to keep theives out, thus now the reason you will need to tow it. It seems like a pain in the ars, but this system keeps your car safe from a joy rider.
Good Luck!

and its possible the bcu is bad causing the lights to not work.

bcu does alot of stuff.

and if you let the heater core orings leak continue it will ruin it.
