HELP 2008 LR3 4.4 hard/no start, coolant Temp sensor reads wrong.
Alright guys this is my last ditch effort, I got this LR3 with a hard to no start scenario. My coolant temp gadge is always bottomed out, and scanner shows coolant temperature at 5 degrees F, if and when i get it started it will run great but even at operating temperature ( confirmed by mutable other sensors) coolant temperature shows 50 degrees F when it was in the mid 90s. I have gone through all the wiring and everything looks great, even pulled ECM to check for water damage, and have gone through all the grounds.
Im at a loss, the voltage from the ECM signal is 5v when disconnected and the scanner shows 4.9 v at the tep of 5 degrees f ( ambient temperature in the high 80s) every other sensor reads normal and correct. It is only the coolant temperature sensor doing this. No check engine lights or codes. I would like to believe it is not the ECM but idk what else to look at. To me it feels like the ECM is sending out to high if a signal v. But the MAF sensor shares the same signal wire and reads correct.
Ive also put in a new coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor. thanks any help would be great!
