ok my problem is i can shift my 96 disco into low range.... i know this is beacuse of rust, and i have read about how to fix it as well as my brother who worked for a lr dealer said you have to take the center console apart and take the linkage apart. but i dont have the time to do all that with having a full time job (and it being winter its a bit to cold to drive a torn apart truck) so any help would be awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Try lubricating the linkage.
