help girl here..lol
Guys I just replaced the Hitachi compressor with the SAME Hitachi model compressor on my 2006 LR3 v6
part# K04L-L136-34SP
Miessler Automotive Air Suspension Compressor and new relay.
I thought it would be a plug and play and instead its giving me code:
C1A36 = Exhaust Valve
I was told by local shop that the LR3 needs a software update by Dealer only based on that code...
any thoughts?
closest dealer is over 1 hour away and the car is sitting high in the rear and low in the front with red susp. warning light on so I would have to get it towed! any suggestion on what to check or how to fix it?
Cheers

That code can come from putting an AMK in place of a Hitachi and not updating to the AMK software.
If you've still got a Hitachi, I would wonder if that code is from something not being done correctly. Perhaps the key was on when the compressor was removed, and so the computer stored a code? Does the code come back immediately when you clear it?
Is the compressor new or rebuilt? Either way, perhaps it actually has a bad exhaust valve. There was an issue with Hitachi compressor exhaust valves and there were kits to update them.
There is updated Hitachi software but I'm afraid that a trip to the dealer might just uncover that you've got a bad compressor.
