Hey! Im new to the forum and i really need some help. My father owns a land rover “defender” and we are thinking on selling it.
im really confused if it is a defender or not. Its a 1989 pickup land rover but the legal information about the car says its a 109 model. It doesn’t say it is a Defender.

He changed the engine some years ago for a 4,5 L. So thats why im guessing it may be a Santana Modified into defender but im lost. I cant fund information about a 109 model like that.

its very important cause if it is a defender, the price changes drastically in Colombia.

There’s a bit of confusion here. I believe the last year of the 109 was 1982. From 1983 and on, the model was called Defender 110.

 

Ok, thank you. But im still confused cause it says its a 1989 109. Heres the legal information. So is it still possible that is a 110?

 

You really should post this in the Defender section of this forum. I’m not really very familiar with Defenders, but my opinion is that the Registration has it wrong.
