I was turning off my 2017 Land Rover DISCOVERY when I realized the gear selector was selected to R mode. As the gear selector went down, I noticed there was a rubber band looped around the selector and was dragged down into it's recess. Since the engine turned off in the R mode, I can no longer turn on the engine. Does anyone know how to raise the gear selector without turning the engine on?
