Ignition Switch Locked truck won't start
2004 Range Rover HSE with 100 ,000 miles is what I just purchased a couple months ago. Last week I got off work and couldn't leave for 10 minutes or so because I could not get my key to turn in the ignition. After repeatedly trying over and over there was a click and steering column and all unlocked and my truck fired right up. The problem has resurfaced and the ignition switch is not unlocking. My battery is at 12.47 v and 6 amp so not a power problem. Can't put it on a diagnostic machine because the key has to be in the on position ...HELP Please.

That is a tough one. If it was a discovery I would say you need a new ignition switch, but it's not.
The 2004 RR has a complicated steering column with its own ECU which is known to have problems. I have a friend who makes his living off of rebuilding them and selling them all over the country, he even sells them to Land Rover dealerships!
Maybe he can help diagnose your problem, I will PM you his details.
