I changed my fog lights today and everything that can be turned on does. The problem is when I turn on the headlights, the instrument panel and ride side of exterior lights stay off. Any suggestions?

check your glovebox light for random shorting (no kidding) & then there's a 10 amp fuse below dash on drivers side for that circuit.

Ya know, I wondered why I couldn't get the glovebox light (that wasn't burnt out) to work....

Changing the blown 10 amp fuse for $1 worked and much better than taking anywhere.

Mine drove me nuts & I found the glovebox light ***'y loose (broken plastic tab).
Randomly (a bump in the road?) the ***'y would short to the surrounding metal dash frame.
That would blow that ten amp fuse.
It might last 5min or 5days
