Default Intermitent reversing lights

Hi
Can anybody help before I go out and buy a new reversing light switch.
I Have a 2001 Landrover Freelander Petrol 1.8 ES and the reversing light is very intermittent, it seems that once the engine gets warm (About 20 miles) the reversing lights do not seem to work. Let it stand for 10 mins and hey presto they work. Does this sound like a dodgy sensor unit? If so any help on its location.
Ta

Thanks for the advice. It did turn out to be the reversing switch.. Had a garage do it due to lack of time, so £37 for the convenience. (Obviously not a franchised dealer at that.)
