Default Just bought 96' disscovery 5sp

Just bought my first Land Rover discovery, it's a 96' 4.0 5sp. The rig is awesome but I don't know anything about them. So I need help with how the 4wd system works. I can't understand the locking differential diagram above the shifter. What position should it be in for normal everyday driving?
