hi i have just bought the parts to replace the oil pump on my k reg 3.9 rr and i have only noticed today the the pump cover on the car has 2 oil cooler pipes coming from it but the cover i have bought has not someone told me that there is some kind of adaptor ring that you remove after taking the oil filter off and you put in on the new cover i have rung rimmer bros and was told by them they had never heard of it can anyone give me some advice PLEASE

I've attached an image of what I think you're referring to. The ring which has the 2 cooler pipes slides on to a shaft on the oil pump. It is not actually fixed hard to the pump. In the image the ring has the red arrow and it slides on the shaft shown with the blue arrow.
