How much does a new key cost for an 03 Range Rover? I just bought the truck & only got 1 key. I have the key with the rear window release, and the lock & unlock feature all built into the key... Does anybody know if that is all that came with the HSE as origional equiptment just 2 identical keys? Was there a valet key too?

LOL... No kidding.... I did that already. I called 2 local dealers & got the run around. They told me I had to buy the blank, pay for programming, pay for cutting, etc... I said ok, how much? They both said it depends on how long it will take to program it and some other redicilous stuff... I even said, can you just tell me if it's between 100 & 200 or 300 & 400 ... they wouldn't put a price out there... That's why I turned to you guys.

 

The keys are laser cut by the supplier. There is a manual procedure to program them. You can't order keys/remotes over the phone for obvious security reasons. You need to visit a Dealer parts department with proof of ownership and ID. Hope that helps.

 

Yep, this is a dealer only job, you buy the blank, they programme it and you get it cut,all up just under $A400 !!!! There was ablank recently on epay(sic) $A110 and didnt sell.
