I have read through all the posts and no one has the same symptoms. Truck runs great but yesterday when I parked the truck at home the key turned to the pullout positionbut would not come out of the ignition. I am able to crank the truck no problem ufortunately I will have battery drain if I do not pull they key out. I figured it must be electrical because I have to disconnect the battery, pull the key out then reattach the terminals. I do not want todo this everytime especially in the Chicago winters.PLease help.

Next time it happens try shifting out of and back into park, sometimes something doesn't catch right, and even though you're in park, the ignition still thinks you're in gear and won't let you remove the key. Happens to me occasionally.

 

Thanks for the reply. I figured it out early the next morning. Shifter was not all the way forward.
