Hard part about this is that I live in an apartment and they threaten to kick me out if I change my oil let alone drop a transmission. I am very eager to start pulling this thing a part however. Found a guy with a shop a few miles away who has reasonable prices and will let me help him tinker with it. I will update once I can get it in there and we can take think a part and finally figure this one out. Thanks for all the help so far guys you have been great!
I have the same problem, apartment living. the last time they came and confronted me because I had 1 tire off and that little bitty jack underneath as I was getting it patched. Then my head gaskets had to be replaced so I just worked on the truck at night. I don't really enjoy turning wrenches but I will work on the D2 at night-time in the middle of winter before I let somebody else F*#$ with it, that's for sure.
