Default Land Rover Discovery 2 Battery Drain issue along with overheating

So I just purchased my first Discovery... for $900. Yes I understand that this is ill advisable, but for such a low price I would be making money just by selling the upgraded 20 inch Range Rover sport wheels. Anyways so my main question is in regards to the aftermarket radio and back up camera system that I worry is causing a battery drain. The previous owner thought the battery was bad, but with the system that has been installed, I'm skeptical. Anyways, the system is one that pops out of the radio to reveal a screen when the car is cranked, and the back up camera is turned on by turning on the headlights and there is a moment of static in the radio and then an image appears. Anyone seen anything like this before? Anything helps.

Disconnect the aftermarket system and see if the drain still exist. If not: start reconnecting the system properly.

Overheating is a big issue. Tell us more. Does not sound good.

Well the car is located 30 minutes away from my house and will be having it towed here later in the week. As for the overheating I went in thinking it was a head gasket but was left thinking it was something else when the previous owner showed where a leak was that was above the block, and when I checked the oil it was perfectly normal. So I'm going to be diagnosing later in the week to month. Fingers crossed.
