Default little help please

my defender is eating batteries put in a new one last night dead by this morning any ideas guys

Sounds like an electrical drain. Do you have an OHM meter?

You have something that is on or a bad ground.
I am assuming that you fully charged the battery before you put it in the truck.

put a test light between the negative battery terminal and the cable end, it should light if there is a draw. Now start pulling fuses one by one until the light goes out, when the light goes out; now you know what curciut is causing the draw. Now put the fuse back in, and disconnect each thing on that curcuit until the light goes out again, when it does you know know what is causing the draw, I think you can take it from there. good luck

Actually, it is usually better to pull all the fuses first, then put in the test light. That is because you can get a draw from several places. Not just one.
