Locked up Rover
Hey everyone, I got a discovery rover that has locked up after the system (I think) thought it was being stolen while changing the battery. We think it has something to do with the "brain" that needs to be reset but not sure really. It has completely immobilized the SUV. Do not have a key to activate the alarm system either.. We thought we may just sell it as-is if anyone is interested. anyone heard or seen on this situation. much appreciated!
It's a 97 Discovery. I'll try to get pictures posted up if anyone would be interested in it. Thanks

Do you really mean you don't have a key, or do you mean you don't have the remote?
Close all of the doors, and the hood, and the tail door, etc. and lock and then unlock the door with the key. If that doesn't work try the passenger door.

I think you need to cycle locking & unlocking five times to get it going again.
I have tried cycling through with the key in the drivers door and passenger door. I do not have the remote to disarm the alarm if it is locked up but I do have a key. I have tried all the cycling techniques and nothing seems to unlock it.
