Default looking for answers

I got myself an 02 Discovery SD about a month ago. The 3 amigos started popping up periodically about a week or so after purchase. Just this weekend the " service engine soon light" popped up. I went buy auto zone and got it scanned, and 2 codes showed up. The first was P0741 which came up as TCC stuck off. The second code was P1668 which is a dealership code that I haven't figured out yet. My question is should I take it to a transmission specialist to fix the TCC stuck off, or can I work on it myself. I don't have a whole lot of mechanical experience, but I have friends that do that would be willing to help out as long as it wouldn't be too complex. Also if anyone knows what the mystery code is that would be great. Any help would be appreciated. The truck has 126k miles and seems to be in pretty great condition, it drives great, and looks new. I have taken it off road only once and I couldn't tell much difference between high and low gear. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the TCC stuck off. Again thank you for any help that anybody could offer.

P0741 = torque converter lockup clutch fault (tranny shop) - if fluid filter and change are already up to date.

P1668 Engine anti-theft signal circuit high Serial link open circuit- wiring from BCU to ECU

You'll be needing to download the RAVE shop and electrical manual package.

the P1668 is not likely a "real" code. i get it if i haven't clicked my "unlock" button and my red security light is on when i check my codes.

Update... I just got back from the transmission shop, and was told I could have the tourque converter rebuilt for $3,500.00, or I could find a used one with low miles and they would put it in for $400.00. Does anyone know of any alternatives or where I can find a cheap torque converter??
