Default LR4 - Can Signature LED Lighting be set to Always On?

Hi, I am brand new to this forum. Just got a brand new 2010 LR4! Love it!

The signature lighting looks fantastic, however, when I have the lights in the "Automatic" mode, during the daylight, nothing on the front end is on. In order to get the signature LED lights on, I need to turn on the accessory lighting. Does anyone know if there is a way to have the LED lights always on and still use the "Automatic" lights?

Thanks,
BD

Thanks Rovin4life,

I plan on heading to the dealership tomorrow to make the change. Can you confirm if the DRL's are actually the LED Lights on the LR4? I'll keep you posted once they make the change.

Default perfect question----

i had the exact same question re: my 2010 RRS. took it to the dealer in orlando and they said they didn't know how to do it. the only thing they could do was program it so the headlights AND the LED's would be on all the time but i said no to that.

it seems stupid that they can't do it. coming from heavy audi ownership i know that these cars can be programmed to do just about anything via a portable module (VAG tool in audi speak) so i can't believe they don't have an index of codes they can look up to find the one that will make the LED's come on all the time. maybe they were just too lazy or acted stupid. let me know if you figure it out. drop me an email---

ps- i think in canada the DRL's are the xenons- not the leds.

rxbg,

Just took the car to the dealership today (in Livermore, CA) no appointment and they said no problem. Took them 35 minutes as their computers haven't downloaded much for the 2010 models yet. I will post pictures in the next day or two, but in summary, here is what the turning on the DRL's resulted in:
1) LED's are on ALL THE TIME - Yeah!!!!
2) The Xenon (Low Beam) are also on in a lower voltage mode - Not so yeah

When I have more time, I am going to see if they have the ability to just turn on the LED's. The vehicle is so new, not all the tech's have all the details yet. Hopefully we can push on LR Corp to work on a software mod to make us all happy

Rgds,
BD

BD great news! if the low bean xenons are on also, BUT at a lower voltage the maybe that is acceptable. definitely post some pics. i will plan on doing the same thing in the next few weeks when i get the chance- hopefully someone finds a way to just engage the LED's. thanks for the feedback.

I am sure they would be glad to program it for you they have factory computers and will spend more time trying to help then the dealer......
they are techs that left the dealer and started a indy shop.

Sorry for the delay in posting some pics. I have discovered through some thorough testing (got out and looked at the lights) that there does not appear to be a low voltage for the DRL's. Would love to hear other opinions on whether or not I should keep them on or keep trying to get just the LED's on.

Enjoy!
