Misfulelling
Anyone know if a small amount of petrol (£3.50) added to a near full tank of diesel would do any harm? Range Rover 2009.
Most people say it should be no problem, just keep tank near full for the next few hundred miles or so.
Cheers
Steve.
Ps any Know if a fuel angel would fit an 2009 Range Rover?.

yes it will cause a problem. You are screwed if that gas hits your fuel system. It will blow the motor. The injection pump runs the timing chains. It is an interference engine. When the gasoline hits the pump the lubrication is lost and the pump seizes causing the vehicle to get out of time. Land Rover will not cover the cost of a new engine and new fuel tank and lines. Your best bet if you started it since it ran is to keep it full for a long time but there is no guarantee. If it hasn't ran then have the fuel drained and filled with fresh diesel and pray for a miracle.
Oh and we designed the filler tube to not accept Petrol gasoline heads. What did you do? Ignore it and start pumping.
