Default my blinker is blinking fast. can i fix it?

so on early d2, I have replaced the rear bumper and wanted to keep.lights down there.
wired up some led trailer lights. all is working fine........except my truck thinks I don't have rear blinkers. is there something I can do to make it blink *......*......*.....* instead of *.*.*.*
I can live with it and I have, but if its a simple fix.....I would like to get it back to normal

what can I do?

Sounds like you need some inline resistors for your LED lights. The increased resistance will trick your vehicle into thinking you have normal bulbs. They are widely available. The auto parts store I work at sells them in our LED bulb area.

I think this will work on a D2 as well. All you need is an LED flasher and some pigtails.

No clue. If you find a plug n' play option post up. The pigtail isn't hard to make but getting rid of it altogether would be even easier.

was killing time and came across how to instructions on removing the dead lamp circuit from a flasher, this was for jeep and mazda etc.

ours looks different inside BUT i am sure there is a smart person here that can figure out what to cut inside the lucas flasher to kill that circuit, then no more fast flash with led or ep26 with pigtails
