Default My Rover Rides like a horse drawn carriage...Rough!

2000 HSE that quit airing up on all four tires. So here's my problem. My airbags won't inflate. I've checked the relay switches and the compressor which are fine. I can only figure that it is a bad sylenoid, however the nearest diagnostic machine is in the next town, many miles away. Any suggestions?

chances are its not electrical but the vehicle is telling you that it won't go up cause the light is tripped. You need to have it cleared and the codes reset. Chances are you need a new airbags cause they are worn out.

Are you getting a message of EAS Fault on the dash? You need to go to RSW solutions and download thier unlock program. Once you do that you will clear the fault codes and at least the bags may try to air up so you can locate the problem. Chances are there is a leak in one of the bags, if there is a leak and the compressor runs continually it will do like a time out and send it into limp mode. When this happens it will drop to the bumpstops and tell you to only drive 35 miles an hour. Look on Rangerovers.net and it will have all the details on how to get it done.

If you do get it working and pumping. Get a spray bottle, make a soap and water mix and spray everywhere there is a fitting- top of all the bags, at the valve block. Also spray the valve block around the solenoids. soak it. It wont harm it. Also spray the bags them selves. Then after you get a figure of whats leaking make a decission. Do you wanna keep putting money into the suspension or put in coils and call it a day. Coils have a different ride but you'll get used to it. cheaper in the long run. But your last option is always make it your excuse to put in a lift! Ha!
