Default Mystery Bracket

All - working on replacing the head gasket. Everything going well until I got the heads back from the machine shop. Apparently I left a bracket on when I took them in. They took the bracket off and replaced it in an available hole - not the original because it's not deep enough. I took a lot of pics but failed to capture this little gem.

I've attached a pic - anyone have an idea of where this goes on a 2001 Disco 2 4.0l?

Thanks!
Erik

Does something like the plug wire loom slip on to it?

It looks like that sort of thing, yes. I'm pretty sure it goes on the back of the head - in which case there are two choices since there is a ground strap outboard on the driver's side and the support bracket outboard on the pass side. I just honestly don't remember seeing it when I pulled 'em.

Default bracket

Thats the bracket on the drivers side head. bolts lower and left (looking aft) than the ground strap. Will probally not get it on if head installed, firewall clearance a nightmare. Holds i believe the o2 sensor connection. not too bad as makes o2 sensor replacement much easier...can get a look at hole from under car...only chance to install is to get a 1/2 long bolt instead of the 3/4 it was mounted with...and probally remove valve cover. Did that for my ground strap also...wouldnt worry to much.

Thanks Randy! I will give it a shot first thing tomorrow. I'm good, I stopped putting it back together until I could find out what the part was, so it's a quick catch up for me.
